You can't manufacture a miracle

Dead things, I am taking photos of them. It makes you have to go a bit close to them and realise they won't be coming alive or doing anything scary. I would like to actually do an exhibition of dead animal photos some day.

This is my third dead animal photo. The first was the dead hedgehog, which you can find on this very blog. It wasn't scary as it was basically just a skeleton. But it was also way cooler. The second was a dead bird which I took from very far away. Anyway here is dead rat, taken at Ladies Bay, a lovely nudist beach in Auckland. His eyes are still open.



There is a dead tiny wee mouse outside my house, which I am just waiting to decompose more in to a skeleton before I get out my Nikon.. This is pretty disgusting, but it is part of life and nature and I must appreciate it and not be scared of it any more!
