Towering over your head

I took this photo of the flowers I love that I put outside, and I thought I better find out what they were. So I went to this website A-Z of flowers, and it was on the first page.

"Anthurium is a large genus of about 600- 800 species, belonging to the arum family (Araceae). Anthurium flowers are small and develop crowded in a spike on a fleshy axis, called a spadix, a characteristic of the Araceae. Anthurium can also be called "Flamingo Flower" or "Boy Flower", both referring to the structure of the spathe and spadix."
